  33. Frank -- I *did* download the Beta Kermit.

  35. I tried it with the old (6.192) init-files, etc,
  36. and it wouldn't actually dial the phone (no
  37. sounds out of the modem), although it make the
  38. modem-lights flash quickly two or maybe three times.

  40. Please -- any ideas "off the cuff" of *significant*
  41. changes required in the init file(s)?

  45. The only time I am able to use the internet
  46. is after midnight to maybe 8am.

  48. This flow-control thing shows up mostlly
  49. when the load on the isp's computer I am using
  50. is high -- or maybe it's the communications
  51. front end, I don't know.

  54. I forget which) that showed the init files
  55. I had now.
